Dr. Jennifer Duff
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Duff earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Randolph Macon College, a private institution located in Ashland, Virginia. While attending Randolph Macon, she received several academic scholarships including the Ineg Wills Wilkins Scholarship, the Distinguished Achievement Scholarship, and the Academic Dean’s Scholarship. In addition, she served as Vice President for the institution’s Psi Chi Honorary Psychology Fraternity.
Dr. Duff graduated from Randolph Macon, Cum Laude with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. At the time of her graduation, Dr. Duff was made a member of Phi Beta Kappa in recognition of high attainments in liberal scholarship.
Dr. Duff earned her Masters Degree as well as her Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology, with a specialized track of study in the field of Child/Adolescent Psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Her predoctoral internship was completed through the consortium program at Butler University Counseling Center and BehaviorCorp, a community mental health center. Dr. Duff’s dissertation is titled, “Anorexia Nervosa from a Psychodynamic Perspective: A Theoretical Overview”.
Dr. Duff completed her postdoctoral internship at Linden Oaks at Edward Hospital in Naperville, Illinois. While at Linden Oaks, she worked with children and adolescents on the inpatient unit. As a postdoctoral intern, Dr. Duff specialized in the psychological evaluation of child and adolescent patients, provided group therapy, and engaged in program development on the psychiatric units.
Experience
With over 17 years of experience, Dr. Duff has dedicated her practice to the treatment of children, adolescents, young adults, and families. As a licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. Duff has extensive experience conducting a wide range of psychological and psycho-educational evaluations. She specializes in the comprehensive assessment of intellectual (IQ), academic (achievement), and social-emotional functioning, as well as attention related deficits and learning disabilities. Dr. Duff works with a wide range of diagnostic concerns including mood, anxiety, adjustment, self-esteem, perfectionism, loss and grieving. She also works with children, parents, and families that are experiencing separation, divorce and associated relational challenges. Psychological services are implemented utilizing current research-based concepts and practice models, developed to meet the specific needs of each individual.
